Configurable Colors
The Configurable Colors extensions allows users to create color swatches for configurable products. Swatches can be made using HTML color names, Hex Values, Classes, or images.
The Configurable Colors extension also controls the display of the thumb and large images. The sizes for these images can be set in the Admin Panel.
The Configurable Colors extension also comes with an image zoom component. The size of the zoom image is also configurable.

If your store has a lot of configurable products, and you have grown weary of the time it takes to enter and upload images for each color and size, check out Configurable Products Utilities. This extension enables you to bulk enter/delete Configurable Products. It als integrates the Configurable Colors extension.
Before I created the Configurable Products Utilities extension, it took me 10-20 minutes to enter all associated products for a Configurable Product using the Quick Create feature. It now takes me 1-2 minutes (including image uploads).
