Configurable Product Attribute Index
Easily increase the performance of your shop. This addon helps mitigate perfomance hits if you're using configurable options in the category view. An example of this is using a theme that lists available sizes/colors.
How does it work?
• It creates a new index in the Backend.
• It uses Magentos usual indexing events to detect changes and required updates.
• It keeps the index-table up current.
• It stores the attribute data of the configurable products in the new index in case it changes.
• It prevents on-the-fly generation in frontend by leveraging the availabe index data.
Installation
- Install the extension via Magento Connect.
- Update the new index at System -> Index Management.
No further configuration needed!
