This module notifies returning visitors of new products that were added since they have last visited the website. It saves the users visiting hours and reads them out when he returns to your website. If the user has been away for a certain time (the time can be setup in config), the module checks for newly created products since his last visit and notifies him. It then displays a list of the products or an alert message with the number of new products and a link to the list. The list can be displayed on a new page or loaded via ajax to the same page the alert is displayed on. It can also be displayed either as a grid or list view, or in a simple slider.
The alert is displayed until the user clicks on a close-button or (if set in configuration) views the list of new products, but the frontend page with the list itself will always be accessible to the user via the url 'www.yourshop.com/newproductalert/products/'.
There is also an option to only display new products that are marked as new via the "New from date" and "New to date" attributes of a product.
