This week's additions to Magento Connect aren't very abundant or particularly interesting. That's why we decided to showcase some of the great Magento themes that have been added to the various theme marketplaces around the web.

Some of them are designed to work for specific niches, but we're sure that with the right skills and attitude - you can make all of these work for your specific website.

Here are the parameters that we usually use to judge the quality of a particular theme:

Friendly UI

We take a look at what the interface of theme offers and does it follow the generally accepted user experience standards/ guidelines. "These buttons look weird over here" can sometimes fall under 'bad UI'.

Modern Design Trends

There are tons of visual features that the modern themes have to incorporate - parallax design, material design and other design guidelines and approaches play an important role in how a theme looks and feel in general.

General User Experience and Functionality

We're trying to test the theme to see, if it's convenient, logical and interesting to navigate and explore.
